Audi’s 2.5 TFSI Wins International Engine of the Year Again

What is it that makes the 2.5-litre five-cylinder engine from Audi such a success? Is it the reliability? Tuning capabilities? Perhaps the engine note? All of the above. Voted International Engine of the Year for 2015 in the 2 to 2.5-liter category, the 2.5 TFSI engine wins for the sixth consecutive time.

Voting was done by an international panel of experts comprising 65 automotive journalists. Although North America doesn't see the 5-cylinder unit, it has been used in Europe extensively. In the upcoming RS3 Sportback, the engine will be producing 367 HP and 343 lb-ft of torque.
